The Mouse Balls memo was first seen in IBM's Enterprise Services Division (ESD) in February 1989. It was obviously written by someone who intimately knew the language and format of IBM ESD documents. It was a real memo, and described a real service producedure for the IBM D/T8550 "ball mouse". Its lush use of double entendres while remaining accurate and factual made everyone smile.
