Thanks to you both for the answers. However I've rendered the question
academic by getting hold of a multigrade head on E..y.

Hi Neil and Neil!

The Multigrade IV settings you require are listed in tables 4 and 5 of the
instructions that come in every box of MGIV paper.

Table 4 gives single filtration values (shorter exposure) while Table 5
gives combination values to enable you to change more easily from grade to
grade without re-testing. Rather interestingly Ilford includes the Focomat
specifically in Table 5 but it is excluded from the single filter value
table.

Here goes
Leitz Focomat V35 with Multigrade IV

Grade
00 135Y/6M
0 105Y/12M
1/2 77Y/11M
1 67Y/17M
1 1/2 52Y/28M
2 39Y/43M
2 1/2 32Y/51M
3 23Y/62M
3 1/2 14Y/79M
4 10Y/95M
4 1/2 15Y/154M
5 0Y/200M

Hope that helps
David Prakel
