Probabaly I need to further clarify my question: 1. I used a 90/2.8 (E55 version) before. I chosed it over the 90/2 because I don't like the softness and tone of the 90/2. 2. I switched to 100/2.8APO basically because I wanted a ROM lens which 90/2.8 could not offer. 3. I began to find that the 100/2.8APO is often too crispy and contrasty for portraits, even when fully opened. That's why I'm considering for another move. Probably I could have 3 choices at this moment: 1. Always use my Contax Softar I on the 100/2.8APO for portraits. Or always use low contrast films like Kodak ProImage. 2. Switch to the 80/1.4, which I'm not sure that is a good move or not as it might be too soft for me. 3. Wait for 90/2.0APO and hope that will be a better lens for portraits in terms of tone and contrast. I'm looking for comment on these. Did I make myself clear? Thks/Rgds.
