As Henning and Marc A. noted, the Leica 400mm f/6.8 is a real bargain among Leica lenses and IMHO is far more capable than its modest specs would suggest. I often substitute a little knowledge for a longer lens and BTW I'm not a pro photographer. The 400 f/6.8 was my first Leica lens 21 years ago and if I ever become too blind to make more photos it will be the last one I sell. Your R4s would benefit from a Brightscreen.
