I noticed on the "Stolen Leica Equipment" list that a lost of equipment went
missing during shipping.

Had to send my Noctilux back for replacement this week
(lens hood out of alignment) and phoned my insurance company to notify them
of this movement - they told me it would cost $275 for this - I was aghast
thinking I was insured for everything - and just notified them to "cover my
butt" - anyway, went home read the policy (which I had done a 100 times when
I took it out) and no exclusion clauses - took it up with insurance again -
and they corrected themselves and changed their tune - moral of story for
me - do the research, never take first word for it and definitely do not
roll over an play dead. :-)
