I've blown up shots from my 1945 50/3.5 to 11x14 and they looked great.
The new Elmar 50/2.8, which is sharper and has more contrast, supposedly
trails only slightly behind the Summicron in performance, but a lot of
people
like the Elmar's fingerprint. I sure like it's size compared to my DR.
