Some of the tolerances that Puts describes in his books are pretty darn tight and I wonder if they can be achieved with out the specialized (read very expensive) gear that Leica has in their factories. I have had older lenses succesfully serviced by small shops, but I wonder if they are able to work at the level of precison that the new lenses requieres. feli Victor Wek wrote: > > According to Erwin there is difference between new production and old.
