I believe they ripped you off, and violated the warranty contract.

Please show me where in the warranty it says you are responsible for that?
It clearly says you are ONLY responsible for "return[ing] the Leica
[item]..." TO "A" Leica Camera Agency, and it is more than reasonable to
assume the list in the back of the warranty brochure IS a list of places you
can send it to, and the choice of which one to send it to is YOURS.  The
ONLY shipping you are responsible for is getting it TO "A" Leica Camera
Agency.  As far as return shipping goes, well, since it isn't stated in the
warranty, I would say they are responsible for returning it to you.

BTW, I am NOT talking about Passport service, just standard warranty.
