There just happen to be a lot of well preserved ruins and still inhabited old structures in Europe. It's a different culture, one that I happen to like. The fact that there's history there makes it all the more interesting to me. And yes, Europe isn't the only place that this is the case. I was just stating my personal preference, which, if euro-centric, isn't terribly surprising to me since I'm (gasp) of European descent. Don't worry. In a few hundred years CA will have some interesting culture.
