R8 sales might be in serious trouble...but the point is that
Leica is a system...not an individual camera body.   To say
it was foolish to invest the money in the manual focus
camera (R8)  is to deny the system approach to camera
design.  I guess it all depends on what you think is an
improvement in camera design.     I guess it is best said
that Leica is looking at a niche market...rather than the
general consumer market.
