Nor is there an undergraduate program in photojournalism at MIT. There is no program in any kind of journalism - per se - at MIT. In fact, some of the kids on the staff of MIT's excellent student paper have a T-shirt which reads - The Tech - MIT's Journalism Department.;-) There is a Program in Writing and Humanistic studies, which includes a handful of journalism writing courses - science oriented. There is a graduate program in science writing - of all non-technical types - starting in the fall. And there is, at the moment, one course in documentary photography/photojournalism - which I am teaching this semester. But that's it. Wrong school. Try BU. Meanwhile, I'd start taking photo courses where you live before you decide that photography is your life, give up your job, and move to a new city to get another graduate degree. B. Odd background but photography is becoming more than a hobby but a way of life. The reason why I like MIT is because it's in Boston which fits my nerdy outlook on life. What are the requirements for getting in? Grading system and classes? I dunno much about it but thanks for some info if you can provide it.
