Kodak prices film differently in different countries. It may be cheaper in a poorer country to keep market share. w\With currencey fluctuating every day, there may be days when the dollar is worth more and that is when the gray market wholesaler jumps. Kodak may charge what the market will bear and some countries may nor have laws against monopolies. None of this depends on where the film is made. Yesterday I saw a clip on TV saying that people were ordering lipitor, a new popular drug, retail from Canda and saving 86% over the U.S. price. The Canadian government price controls drug prices and the manufacturers put up with it because they make a profit even at these enormously reduced prices.
