For anyone in the NY area considering taking a photo
course you should seriously checkout ICP
(International Center for Photography) on 6th Ave.

Their new facilities are much improved over thier old
ones (so I have been told.) I have found them to be
fine, at least given my beginner status.

I am taking B&W photo I and have found the instructor
to be knowledgable and he owns a Leica M4! About 75%
of the course is in the darkroom, which is great.
Hands on is the best teacher. I am developing my film
at home, now. Now, if I can just convince my wife we
need a darkroom. (:

I know most of you on the list would not be
interested, but with all the new LUGers out there
someone might be.

If all goes well I may even end up with some decent
images which I can post! I have temporarily suspended
my PAW participation. (I can here the sighs of relief
already. (: )I want to work on my technique and
compostions before resuming.

Regards,
Doug L.
