It is in a balanced bridge... if the bridge opens up, then you can get a pegged meter. It is possible the cell also can get shorted, but that is HIGHLY unlikely. Send it to Gossen ( Bogen I think is the disti) or send it to Quality Light Metrics in Hollywood for repair.....
