Subject: [Leica] New Cosina LTM Color Skopar 50/2,5

FYI, Cosina's website today also has some info on a new LTM Color
Skopar 50/2.5 lens, which they are touting as a high-quality, compact
"normal" lens. I can't find any mention of high-tech glass, so beyond
the bare specs I'm not sure what kind of optical magic is at work.

This lens uses a Leica-style, finger-rounded focus tab with an
unmilled focusing ring.

Here's the link: http://www.cosina.co.jp/50-2.5/

Specs:

Construction: 7elements in 6 groups
Aperture: :2.5-22, 10-blades
Minimum focus: 0.75m
Size/Weight: 49.6mm width x 33.6mm length, 208g
Filter size: 39mm
Finish: Silver, black paint
List price: 45,000yen (US$338) silver, 48,000yen (US$361) black

There is a separate rectangular metal hood available for 4,500yen
(US$34), which also fits the Color Skopar 35/2.5 Compact.

I think that makes an even dozen LTM lenses in Cosina's lineup.

Enjoy,

PB
