If anyone locally, Los Angeles area, is interested I found a great
repairman. I had a GP with a broken stem fixed for $50, cleaning and
adjustment included. I even had my Omega Speedmaster V recrystalled,
refitted with o-rings, cleaned, and adjusted for two bills. It's been
accurate within 15-40 seconds, Naval Observatory time, ever since.
All the repair people my father used to use have long since retired and
many have passed away. This one look's like he might make it to my
grandchildren's time.
Contact me off list for his address.
