So, what's wrong with central Illinois?  You have the desolation of long
rows of harvested corn. You have many small towns all around the area with
some very interesting architecture.  You have some farm buildings in all
degrees of repair.  Every one of the small towns has a cafe or diner or
church where people hang out for street photography indoors. You have
college students of all ages dashing through the snow/ice.  You have college
students in the bars staying warm and undergoing dating rituals.
Just watch out for the Wesson oil.
