Because the meter cell is in the bottom of the camera it has a slight bottom
sensitivity. The centre circle that you see when looking at a cocked
camera's shutter curtain has the highest sensitivity. If pictures would
help, go to your library and find a copy of the August, 94 issue of PopPhoto
and on page 47 they have a diagram illustrating the metering pattern and
sensitivity.
