I think that this is a very stupid statement...
a) What on earth would the starving and needy subject do with a camera? Eat
it? b) it is always best to be an example for others, so maybe you could
show Salgado the way... I'm sure you can do as well with a Pentax too
c) To my knowledge Salgado puts some of his money into humanitarian actions

It is a well known fact that it is easier when hiding behind a Pentax @ $300
