Or perhaps we value the great war photographers because their work reminds
us of man's inhumanity to man - women and children - and we hope that these
reminders will inspire us to do something to prevent future wars? Main
event? Maybe to you and Mike Tyson.

It's a lot more than the economy, and it's no joke. It's central to the
evolution of human civilization.  Perhaps this is why we value war
photography so highly, and why we idolize the great war phtographers.  They
