Let me tell you Mr Grant that it was bright and sunny at the weekend, and
how anyone from the frozen north can complain about winter is quite beyond
me :-)

The other _major_ advantage of coming at this time of year is that there are
fewer tourists getting in the way :-)

You know how you use certain lenses yourself and what you expect from them,
as well as you already know the things you would like to shoot. Therefore
this really comes back to you for your own answers. Although I can't imagine
going to Paris in the middle of winter? :-) yeah I kow "cheap costs." ;-)
