Of course, I was forced to slow down, because of the notorius deputy with radar, and decided that I needed to stop for a cup of coffee. I pulled into the general store, parked and went in. Three guys (older than Ted Grant) were sitting around a table playing cards. No one was at the counter. One of them piped up, "Can I help you?" I told him I was ready for a cup of coffee. He said, "It's right over there in the pot, I just made some fresh." I said, "How much?" He said, " We don't charge for coffee, around here." I said, "Can I put some money in the kitty?" He said, "If you want to." They continued playing cards, and I asked if this was a regular game, every morning. The one guy said, "It is, but since none of us have any money, it is not a gambling game, and you're welcome to join us any morning you're passing through." I took my free coffee, and I guess I'll find a reason to join them some morning. Pictures to follow.
