The lighting is good. I assume you tried some more off center compositions and found this one the most pleasing. http://www.photoneal.com/photos/paw/tn/bench1.jpg.html I find the bench probably needs to be cropped down tighter to the bench. Many times these pattern shots work best when the viewer doesn't know for sure what is the base of the pattern.
