With their large glass ports, these lenses all tend to be very susceptible to flare. BE VERY CAREFUL BUYING USED NIKONOS LENSES. Most people do not rinse their gear properly which results in rock hard salt deposits on the lens. When they next "clean" their lenses, they put all sorts of very small scratches in the front glass port. Fortunately, the scratches are filled with water when underwater and the lenses will perform just fine. On land, however, how do you spell SOFT FOCUS.
