Henry:

Get the 1228. It is more versatile. It is what I use for the R8 and the
M6. My pictures with it are all very sharp, even when using the heavy
105-280 and R8 motor combo.

I Just today a new 1349 arrived from a LUG member in Malaysia. I upgraded
to the 1349 for my heavier lenses and it goes a little higher. I am six
feet tall and the 1228 has to be opened up all the way for my height. The
1349 is a bit taller and will handle my 400 2.8 without a problem.

Regards,

Robert
