The Nikon LS4000 or 2000 scanners have an adapter to bulk scan slides.  You 
just stack up 50 slides and the scanner does the rest; however, thin 
plastic mounts and cardboard mounts will jam in the scanner and cause 
horrible grinding noises, bent aluminum pieces, and much cursing.  The 
solution is to use thicker plastic mounts available from Gepe and 
Wess.  They will also hold the film flatter.
