I did a lot of moving back and forth between Beutlers and Rodinal 1:100
with Panatomic X and Tri X in the late 70's early 80's.
The Beutlers was just as high Acutance i think as the Rodinal but was
very smooth and much less grain.
But sometimes I'd go to the Rodinal for the etched look.
