And folks trying to do an important >job are getting tossed in the hoosegow. Some thing feels "wrong" >and a bit "dangerous" about the direction we're headed. > >George This does disturb me because I see most of the news that we get from our major news sources as lacking in depth, importance and impartiality. I read more of the third part news sources such as drudgereport.com and truthout. If these smaller new sources are seen as not being true press and not deserving freedom of the press then they will eventually be squeezed out of existence leaving us with the big 5. These media monopoly will obviously not say anything too bad about our government, politicians, or each other because there is an unspoken mutual destruction agreement, and they will stop giving real news because most people like the fluff "man bites dog", and "touchy feely reports on Hollywood stars". Third party news sources are like political third parties, they keep the big boys in check, without them well all become complacent couch potatoes. Now that exams are done I can do these rants more often :) David Degner P.S. Ill be posting some pictures soon I love that Agfa APX 400. - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
