PS - be very wary of mentioning Eggleston on the LUG - there are many here
who seem to have a pathological fear of his work (showing itself in various
forms of pathological hatred).

Don't say I didn't warn you...!

(waiting for the, "it's crap - he doesn't know what he's doing - he's a
disgrace to leica - call's himself a photographer, Huh - nothing but
snapshots - what the hell are his pictures about - he wouldn't be anything
without Sarkowsky, MOMA [accompanied by spitting on the the floor at that
point] and the 'art world' - art photography garbage etc etc" posts (you
could also insert Cindy Sherman (oops almost said Crawford...) Sally Mann,
Andreas Gursky and so on, instead of Eggleston. Me - I love em all and think
they are all at the forefront of photography today

(which isn't to say I don't like Martin Parr, Don McCullin, Joel Sternfeld,
Salagdo, Nachtwey, Sam Abell, Bill Allard et al - I do. + all the golden
oldies of course [though St. Ansel needs a good trashing every now and
then - but then I don't really like Wagner either...])
