When I use the word frugal I mean it in a sense of not wasteful. In my original post I related trying to be frugal with the amount I was currently spending on processing $9 for E6 and $17 for C-41 process & print. Nowhere did it say I couldn't afford film or processing. I'd just like to spend less per roll on processing so I can put the saved $$ toward anything else, like more film, another lens, etc. It was also in relation to buying a cheap flatbed scanner for proof sheets if I was to process my own B&W. Eric's quotes below are a good read of where I'm coming from. Branding: So the guy who saves up for a used inexpensive Leica and a 50 or the guy who buys an M6 Millenium kit are one in the same? They both have a "Leica" so they must be able to shoot a lot of film and pay for any type of processing for their PAW in 2002, right? Neither of these examples are me (I'm somewhere between them). But my point is will this brand $$ thing ever stop with Leica, I doubt it. Ok so I think I'm done...any more questions? I think I've answered many of the replys I got with feedback of where I was coming from in this whole PAW, amount of film, & processing thing so I won't repeat. I appreciate all the replies! Even if some are more helpful to me than others they all answered at least one of the points I had originally asked in this thread and some just added more good ideas.
