If you can get past his rough exterior, he's rather nice and willing to help. Stay away from Looking Glass, Peter, the owner is a shark. (They charge a fee for using a credit card, which is against the CC Companies rules but he skates past it claiming that his stuff is alredy discounted for cash.. Which is BS... (He's right on par or even a little more expensive then most stores in the area) I agree that K&S and Pardees are the best bets here in the Bay Area. There is also Elmwood Camera on College Avenue between Berkeley and Rockridge.. They occasionally get in some good stuff. Another good choice is Calumet here in SF on Bryannt and 19th. They have a teriffic staff and are willing to work with you.. They are geared towards pros so you don't have a lot of mom and pops going in there to waste time looking at some crappy yashica p&s :) - -Mark - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us] On Behalf Of ternahan Sent: Friday, December 21, 2001 11:53 AM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: Re: [Leica] Used in San Francisco I can't say I recommend Gasser's, but you could check there and at Photographers Supply. There is a place in Berkeley called the Looking Glass, but call ahead to see if they have what you want. There is also East Bay Photo in Oakland that occasionally has great deals and they do take trades, but call first. The best bet IMHO is Keeble and Shucat in Palo Alto or Pardee's in Sacramento. Good luck! trish > From: "Jason Vicinanza" <jason@futurafish.com> > Reply-To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > Date: Fri, 21 Dec 2001 16:08:54 -0000 > To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> > Subject: [Leica] Used in San Francisco > > Hello All, > > Ill be in San Francisco early Jan and im in the market for a used 35mm > Summicron.
