Subject: RE: [Leica] build quality

When I bought my mint M3 from my grad school professor several months
ago, he told me that it had never been CLA'd. I told him that he should
have had it done every 10 years or so. He told me to send it in and have
it done 5 times. ;-)

My M3 is the most beautifully built mechanical thing I've ever seen.
Almost 50 years old and serviced just once; my uncle gave it to me a few
years ago and I had it CLA by Leica. Never fails me.

I also have a Nikon SP that's pretty rugged, but not in the same class
regarding build quality.

Best Regards,
Rich
