The SL's meter is about 2 stops slower than the SL2's. I don't have the 
exact specs at hand, but the slowest speed for ASA400 film and f1:1.4 
lens I can set from the built-in meter is either 1/30s or 1/60s. You 
will however find that handheld spotmeters aren't really more 
sensitive.
