I am curious about what you really intended to convey by the shot. You were obviously in a high contrast situation and if you wanted to get an image other than the silhouette of the windchimes, you would have to be more careful about the exposure. I don't really know how to offer any perhaps helpful advice because I don't know what you were trying to convey. I don't know if others have the same reaction, but that is mine.
