In Australia a new M body costs $AUD 3800, a Summicron > M lens @ $AUD 2500 - that's a lot of money when the average > wage here is @ $AUD 800 per week.) Hi, Andrew, well here goes: Divide your dollars, including wages (clear, take home wages) by two. Divide the new Leica prices by two. That's what we 'average americans' earn--and what we pay... (I clear about $400 a week..I believe that's "average" in TX...M6 is about $1800, 35 'cron is about $1200. almost the same as yours in "adjusted" dollars.> But I buy used, and play in a band to pay for the "toys".......) Take care of them, use them hard-but with reasonable care-they'll last your lifetime plus....
