I was attending a workshop on landscape photography near Damme on the Belgian North Sea coast, led by the English photographer Charlie Waite. The workshop was a great experience, even though it was pretty much rained out on Saturday (but that is what one can expect in Belgium in December). It is such a luxury for an amateur to be in a group of like-minded people, all focused on the same thing, with no family rushing one along. Slow film, tripod, Leica SLR and MF equipment--good stuff. Here is Charlie Waite making a point to Kerry, one of the workshop participants: http://www.wajsman.com/49.jpg and here is Kerry getting ready to take a picture (sorry about the alien brand she uses...): http://www.wajsman.com/49alt1.jpg The two pictures above were taken with the Leicaflex SL and 60mm Macro Elmarit on Ilford Pan F+. The second alternate shows the kind of landscape we photographed, typical Flemish scene with a canal and long row of trees: http://www.wajsman.com/49alt2.jpg This one was taken with the SL and 19mm lens, also on Ilford Pan F+. The complete PAW index is at: http://www.wajsman.com/indexpaw.htm and comments are welecome and appreciated as always.
