Good point about the 2-cam/3-cam price difference.  There are a few other 3-cam
lenses that can't be used on the SL, and even a few of these were made as 2-cam
lenses during the SL2 years:

15mm Super-Elmar-R
16mm Fisheye-Elmarit-R
19mm Elmarit-R (current formula)
24mm Elmarit-R
35mm Summilux-R
80~200 f/4.5 zoom
