No, Rich, it'll work fine on your M6---but not if the "goggles" are removed!!
It'll bring up the 50 frame, convert it to 35 (more or less) and focus fine.
but NOT if you remove the goggles! (lotsa folks try to...the cam "slope" is 
different than the "non-goggle" 35 summicron)
