Indeed some were happy snaps, but good happy snaps. Others showed honest photographic work. And I was being completely honest in my opinions. About everything. I have generally stopped looking at web pictures because unless they were done at a very high level (good scanner/good Photoshop/good web layout/good...) even great photographers look lousy. And I have a good monitor. And much of the pictures put on the web are simply not worth the effort to take the time to look at. When y'all make a fuss, I am inclined to go look. Then I might express my opinion. And remember, it is just my opinion. And I always look at a few known LUG PAW (or other format) PRINTS that are always good. Like Godfrey, Nathan, Pascal, Brownlow... Now if you want to see r-e-a-l-l-y good work, go to Sandy Carters web site!!! http://www.sandycarterphotography.com/ Jim At 10:57 PM 12/5/2001 -0600, Sonny Carter wrote: >From: "Jim Brick" > > > Well... my opinion is that these photographs are every bit as good as 95% > > of the PAW prints that are deluged on us weekly.
