Hi Dave,
Now if you really want to put that 400mm puppy to work, get a motor on the
SL and the micro switch connection from pistol grip to motor and you'll pump
them out at 1/15 even after a Starbuck's! ;-)

Get this kind of rig, pistol grip with micro switch and motor hooked to a
400 or 560 it's an awesome rig and sharp as a cat's eye. Or even better, the
280 2.8 and a 1.4 extender locked on first to the lens and it becomes a 400
f 4.0. Now you go wild attach the 2x to the back of the 1.4 then lock-up the
body and man you're flying low at mach 2.

You have in hand an 800mm f 8.0 and you can hand hold that mama and blast
away with beautiful images the likes you've never done before. :-) Oh and
Macro? Absolutely incredible, the likes you rarely see unless you do them.
;-)

It's cool! :-) Oh yeah and don't worry about anyone at Leica telling you it
can't be done or that you shouldn't do it, because they don't know anything
about shooting real-time! ;-)
