Is Aperature worth it? The one magazine subscription I'll never give up = DoubleTake. Don't miss an issue if you have interest in the art and craft of documentary writing and photography (very text heavy - but wonderful writing). A lot of purests let Aperture go when they moved into the "Art" realm. I kept it coming and enjoy it for what it became - a broad minded presentation of "current" photographic art - accros all boundaries. Current issue covers a range from Bosnian war photography to exposing photographic negatives to grass seed to get a "turf" print. Very long exposure times. Lovely idea. I love it. And would love to see one of these installations. Is it worth it? Worth what? Worth the money? Worth the time? Worth the thought? For me - yes, yes, yes and yes. But then I enjoy the editor of LensWork as well. George - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
