Anyone who can catch his "stranger passing" exhibit (it was at the SF Moma until recently, great show) should. Poignant and hilarious stuff. Picture rooms of 40x50 portraits of seemingly ordinary people in ordinary settings...with a few discrete oddities thrown in that shake up the composition and leave the viewer with all sorts of ruminations of the nature of portraiture, to say nothing of chortling.
