Subject: [Leica] philadelphia heathrow cairo airport security

we're back ... the "3 hours before your international flight" thing seems to
be a bunch of hooey -- in six check-in's over the past 20 days, it's never
taken us more than 15 minutes from curb to gate -- which leaves you sitting
around in an airport for 3 hours. so bring a book. philadelphia and heathrow
wouldn't hand inspect film, though cairo did, both times. (the egyptian
museum insisted on xraying everything, as i looked like a nefarious foreign
criminal).
