Our local camera store used to take Kodachrome mailers at no charge. They
handled ten times more rolls for processing than they sold. This costs the
store money and ties up the staff from making money. So they lowered their
film prices by 60 cents and charged a 60 cent handling fee on every roll
sent off for processing.
