Subject: [Leica] loading an M6

I think that most people have difficulty loading an M6 by being too careful.
The following 7 step program should bring about quick, sure, under ten
second loads.

1) Pull the film out of the cassette three or four sprocket holes, enough to
bring the leader all the way over to the edge of the three prong thingy.
2) Push the film in pushing the leader into the three prong thingy. I find
it easier to use two hands, the camera is around my neck or shoulder. The
baseplate is between two fingers usually the pinky and the next finger of my
left hand
3)Open the flap and confirm the sprockets are engaged, if not push the film
over the sprockets. Push at the sprockets not the shutter gate.
4)While pushing the flap shut put the baseplate on and secure it.
5)Wind off two frames watching the rewind knob to see if it turns.
6)Back wind the rewind knob if you are anal to make sure the film is caught.
7)Enjoy
