Subject: [Leica] adapter ring

I've just got my Voigtlander 28/1.9 and Leica adapter. The adapter is 
marked M3 28-50. Yet when clipped in I do not get the 28mm Bright 
Line.
Has anyone had this problem with this adapter ring?
