Kyle did a great service to us by going to Cairo and documenting life as he saw it there (and did a wonderful job. . . .nice colors! Nice capturing of facial expressions!!) He also shared with us his impressions of the preoccupations of people there. It strikes me as an "engaged" form of photo-journalism. There's nothing wrong with documenting what we see, and commenting on it from an informed perspective. I believe that as artists we should all seek to understand what is in the hearts and minds of people around the world, and Kyle has done his part in that quest.
