Normally I don't get involved in other user groups outside the LUG. But
I've been reading up on inkjet printing, trying to evaluate all the pros
and cons and options. When it works, it's great. When it doesn't, it can be
very frustrating, judging from the things I've read.

Leica cameras are sort of a refuge. An M or R camera that works as well now
as it did 20 years ago. Load film and process. Pretty simple.

I guess I've been one of the lucky ones so far in terms of printing. I have
an MIS CFS system in a 1200 for color and now Piezo in a 3000. Very few
problems, though the latter is pretty new to me. Research helps, but
Icontinue to keep my digits crossed.

When I hit a snafu I just remember that it's not like I snapped my fingers
and perfect images appeared with conventional printing techniques.
Photography is work.

Leica, Kodachrome and an Ektagraphic! Now that's simplicity. The worst
thing that could happen was a bulb burning out or a trannie in upside down.
And posterization was a word that described my dormroom wall in the '70s.

Dave (remembering things that were)
