They do not noticably diminish quality (probably noticable on the test bench) and they can be stacked, as Ted will attest, with success. Try that with C or N. For example, £1,000 for a 2X extender is stratospheric compared to any other make of extender. There must be something in there to justify the cost but I just can't find it right now.
