Subject: [Leica] Close focusing with SM lens

Bonsoir,

I m wondering if anyone on the LUG has ever experimented with the
following. I use a 35mm SM Summicron on an M5. Unfortunately it focuses
only to 1 meter. Now given a situation in which I would need to focus
closer (I often take photos of children in action) is it appropriate to
unscrew the lens partially from the adapter to take a photograph at .6
meter or the like? Does the rangefinder stays accurate? Anyone? Hints?
Precautions?

  Thanks in advance,

  Robert (Un chevalier sans blason)
